Bohumil Seifert, M.D.,Ph.D., assoc. professor

Graduated at the Charles University in Prague in 1981. He has been working as a general practitioner in Prague since 1985.
His current positions are:
• Head of The Department of General Practice at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague
• Scientific Secretary, Czech Society of General Practice
• Chairman of the Organizing committe for WONCA World 2013 in Prague
He represents Czech Society of General Practice in the WONCA Europe and WONCA World councils. He has been working for many years in different international networks and work groups under WHO and WONCA. He served as a secretary of European Society for Primary Care Gastroenterology. He organized several international scientific meetings in Prague.
Bohumil Seifert’ s research interest has been in the quality of care, epidemiology and management of gastrointestinal disorders in primary care and in secondary prevention of colorectal cancer.
Married, two children.
